Penguin box replacements
2 May 2020 - Work has started on removing the old penguin nesting boxes at Port Tarakohe. These boxes are being replaced with a new improved design, giving access for scientific research.
We will learn when the penguins come ashore, how many eggs they lay, how many chicks they raise and what they are eating. The more information we can collect, the better we can protect our Little Blues.
